Changing Lives Foundation – Lighting the Way for Families Facing Health Challenges
Changing Lives Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to supporting families facing hardship. At our core, we believe strong communities are built through compassion, connection, and a willingness to show up for one another.
Our journey began in 2018 with the Shine Bright Against Cancer Color Run/Walk, created to honor the memory of our friend, Laura Turner. What started as a simple tribute quickly grew into a powerful community event. Over time, it became clear we could do more. In 2024, we established the Changing Lives Foundation to expand our impact and support even more families.
Serious health challenges often bring emotional and financial strain. They can also disrupt everyday life in ways many people don’t expect. Because of this, our mission is to provide meaningful support where it matters most. Funds raised through events like Shine Bright go directly to families facing cancer, terminal illness, and other hardships.
Our goal is simple: to foster hope and resilience in our community. At the same time, we continue to honor Laura’s legacy through scholarships and direct support. Her spirit of compassion lives on in every family we help.
